There is nothing like a pot of soup, simmering on the stove, to warm your heart and soul. From basic stocks to sophisticated garnishes, CK will walk you through the soup-building process in this class. In addition to solid techniques, you will learn the secret of taking a humble soup to new heights – improvisation.

Chef Chris Kastner, aka CK, has been in the kitchen since arriving in Sun Valley in 1976, where he started washing dishes at the Sun Valley Inn. CK developed his culinary skills cooking in some of the finest restaurants around the West, including stops at the Elkhorn Resort, Chez Russell, Trees, and Evergreen. In 2003, after 17 years as Chef/Partner at Evergreen Bistro, CK and his wife Rebecca designed a new bistro/trattoria-style restaurant in Hailey, called CK’s Real Food.
