w/ Pastry Chef Vincent Carpenter

Do you love the smell and crunch and mystery of sour dough bread? Back by popular demand, pastry Chef Vincent Carpenter will walk you through the important steps and techniques of artisan sour dough bread making. This class will explore the world of sour dough from the start of a sour culture to perpetuating the culture. In class, we will use the culture to make an assortment of sour dough breads from savory to sweet.

Pastry Chef Vincent Carpenter was raised in Miami, Florida, where he discovered his passion for baking at a young age. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University with degrees in both Pastry Arts and Food Service Management. Chef Carpenter has worked in such establishments as the Pelican Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs, Florida, the Ritz Carlton Beach & Golf Resorts in Naples, Florida, the Sun Valley Resort, and Rasberry’s Catering. Chef Carpenter enjoys participating in the annual Farmers’ Market in Ketchum, where he offers his artisan breads and specialty pastries to eager customers.
