Named after the height measurement of the wild horses that once made their home on what are now their vineyards, 14 Hands produces truly spirited wines. Classic aromas of dark stone fruits and toast. Flavors of cherries and spice are accentuated by fine, round tannins. Nice dark color. Very earthy nose initially, then some berries come through. First sip is quite pleasant. It starts out fruity, then transitions nicely to an almost smoky taste in the mid palate. Rudy’s Rating 90
